One component, water based, borate and chlorine free intumescent coating tested by independent UKAS accredited laboratories. As a waterborne product, Interchar 1160 is a more environmentally friendly alternative for the protection of steel structures, particularly where an aesthetically pleasing appearance is important. It is low-odour and can therefore be applied on the construction site, in common areas and hygienically sensitive areas.
Interchar 1160 is a CE marked product with European Technical Approval ETA-11/0460.
For fire protection of I-beams, columns and hollow profiles indoors, with a fire resistance period of up to 60 minutes. Interchar 1160 has been tested and rated for fire resistance in accordance with EN 13381 Part 8.
